Being a tropical country, the Philippines receives a lot of tourists during the summer season because of our beautiful beaches. We Filipinos can get a little jaded about the three months of sweltering heat because it can get really uncomfortable.
Some brides prefer to get married this season though, because they are at least assured that heavy rains will not threaten to ruin their wedding. If you’re part of a couple that has decided to tie the knot from March to May, you’ve come to the right place for wedding tips.
Let me share with you some nuggets of wisdom I’ve picked up from attending to brides on their midsummer night’s dream weddings.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_image type=”none” src=”https://weddingsatwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/12599257_999250463480688_846805794_n.jpg” alt=”” link=”false” href=”#” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=””][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][cs_text]You can be fashionable and remain comfortable
I cannot stress this enough. A wedding is supposed to be one of the most memorable occasions in a person’s life, you would not want to remember it for the wrong reasons (like wearing a heavy suit in the middle of a heat wave).
Light and sheer fabrics will help you keep your cool and sanity while exchanging I do’s in this tropical climate. You do not have to sacrifice fashion for comfort too. Ask your couturier to help you choose a design that’s both lightweight and tasteful.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_image type=”none” src=”https://weddingsatwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/11357657_522520784590248_1495887965_n.jpg” alt=”” link=”false” href=”#” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=””][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][cs_text]Revisit the rules
Putting comfort first does not mean that you have to look like you’re posing for a men’s magazine on your wedding day. Some religious denominations are strict when it comes to the bride’s attire.
If you choose to be married in a church that has specific rules on how brides should dress (e.g. no plunging necklines or bare backs), then follow the regulations.
If your dream wedding gown is not so traditional, you can opt to have a shawl or something similar to a shawl to cover up during the ceremony and rock your own style come reception time.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_image type=”none” src=”https://weddingsatwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/11950538_479862908859443_1816184951_n.jpg” alt=”” link=”false” href=”#” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=””][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][cs_text]Make the most out of natural lighting
I’ve said it before and a lot of wedding suppliers also swear by this: women look most radiant on their wedding day. That being said, make sure to keep you make up light and natural-looking and take advantage of the natural lighting brought by sunshine.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_image type=”none” src=”https://weddingsatwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/12729582_1509704076003177_1199675963_n.jpg” alt=”” link=”false” href=”#” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=””][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][cs_text]Keep the environment in mind
If you will be having a wedding ceremony or reception, be sure that your style can adapt to nature. Remember that stiletto shoes can easily sink in sand and would make for uncomfortable dancing, and long trains will be difficult to maneuver when you’re walking on grass.
Billowy Fabrics like chiffon and tulle would really look splendid and dramatic for an outdoor wedding. While for colors, i would want to see the brides in dove gray, blush or nude for their wedding dress that day, aside from the traditional and ever reliable off white.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_image type=”none” src=”https://weddingsatwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/11208568_631222147022035_1631093380_n.jpg” alt=”” link=”false” href=”#” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=””][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][cs_text]Have a back-up plan
Forget what I said about the summer season assuring brides that rain won’t be an unwelcome guest in their wedding. The weather is hard to predict and it would be wise to have a back up plan in case it rains. From stocking up on umbrellas to making sure that tents will be ready in case of a downpour, cover all bases necessary. Better to be safe than sorry.
