I’d like to present to you my first workshop on emceeing titled, “LOOK GOOD. SOUND GOOD. IN GOOD TASTE.”

It will be held on March 24, 2012 at SNR Ent-Nippon Esthetic Solutions Studio, SnR unit 301 Millenium Place, Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The workshop will run from 9am to 3pm.

The objective of the workshop is to provide basic hosting and emceeing training for people who would like to pursue a career in emceeing, or people who would like to improve on their current skills, and especially people who were tasked to be the emcee at a friend’s or relative’s wedding, but have none or little experience.

I understand how some couples feel that having a friend or a relative of theirs act as their emcee would provide a more personal feel to their wedding. However, we all know that nowadays, wedding reception programs are not as simple as they used to be. There are now parts of the program that need proper coordination between the emcee and the coordinator. Also, with the rise of SDE Photo Slideshows and SDE Videos, which need time to be edited, the sequence of wedding programs usually change on the spot and it is in the hands of the emcee to ensure that last minute changes be delivered smoothly, and for there to be no dead air anywhere in the program. Needless to say, there are also certain protocols that need to be observed that some people are not aware of. With the proper basic training, people who were tasked to be the emcee (whether they are first-timers or have a little experience in emceeing) can have a better working relationship with the coordinator and other suppliers, and thus provide a more positive and fun atmosphere during the wedding reception for the couple and their guests.

The cost to register in the workshop is P3000, but I will also give a P500 discount to all those who will sign up, who were referred by W@Wies and fellow wedding suppliers.

The workshop fee is inclusive of lunch.
