Wedding photographer Nix Taytay gave us a heads up about this video from a local TV crime show concerning a complainant and an alleged bogus wedding planner. Though there are a lot of reputable wedding planners out there, it is still prudent for soon-to-weds to be cautious in entrusting their hard-earned money to just one person for payment of all their wedding suppliers to avoid being in a similar situation. Watch the video below.

28 AUGUST 2007 Proposed Bill: Mandatory Marriage Counseling Act
(photo by Mimi & Karl) Veer away from the image of the two rings and focus on the shadow each of them casts. What do you see? When a ring is placed on the spine of a bible or a missalette (or any book for that matter!), its resulting shadow gives a symbolic take of what it truly represents. (photo by Smart Shot) The dainty and immaculate wedding gowns are getting soaked and dirty but some Pinay brides seem not to mind. And why would they, if by doing so, daring and unique wedding pictures are to be had? The concept is populartized by trashthedress.com who encourage brides to get their gown dirty since if they have found their one true love, they'll never need to wear dress again. So are you the type who's willing to ruin an expensive couture creation in exchange for a dramatic pictorial? Here are some Filipina brides who trashed the dress with pictorials courtesy of Mango Red, Ems Van Goth and Smart Shot.

10 AUGUST 2007 Cardinal Rosales reminds brides to wear proper clothing
(excerpt from gmanews.tv) Wedding Day should not be an excuse for brides and their entourages to wear "improper" attire in church. Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales issued the reminder Monday night as he lamented those who do not wear proper attire distract other churchgoers from their prayers. "Observe proper clothing during weddings. Failure to adhere to suggested attire may catch the attention of other churchgoers and may be distracted from their prayers," he said in a statement posted on the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines website www.cbcpnews.com. Rosales' reminder came on the heels of his earlier directive to churches to enforce the "dress code" at church, especially during Sunday Mass. [READ MORE...]
