Lea Salonga’s “Two Words”

In News by wedding_blog3 Comments

Included in Lea Salonga‘s latest album — Inspired — is her official wedding song “Two Words.” The Broadway star first sung the song in her wedding back in January of 2004 as she serenaded her groom — Robert Chen — just before reciting her vows. Composed by Louie Ocampo and penned by Freddie Santos as a wedding gift to the couple, the album version was arranged by her brother, Gerard Salonga. Inspired is currently available in record bars and can be pre-ordered now via Amazon (release date on Thursday: Feb. 22). Read its lyrics below. You’d get to hear the song from the YouTube video below which includes clips from their actual wedding. TWO WORDS (music by Louie Ocampo, lyrics by Freddie Santos)  In a while, in a word Every moment now returns For a while, seen or heard How each mem’ry softly burns  Facing you who brings me new tomorrows I thank God for yesterdays How they led me to this very hour How they led me to this place  Every touch, every smile you have given me in care Keeping heart, always I’ll now be treasuring everywhere And if life should come to just one question Do …

The Sand Ceremony

In Trends, Wedding Hacks by wedding_blogLeave a Comment

For soon-to-weds planning a beach wedding, you may want to consider the Sand Ceremony. This is one novel alternative to the unity candle ceremony incorporated into many western weddings. The essence of this ritual is to symbolize the union of two into one. The ceremony is not only meaningful and interesting but also more appropriate for an outdoor setting.     Christian weddings also incorporate the Sand Ceremony in other venues other than the beach. If you’re tying the knot in a Catholic church, you may want to ask your officiating priest if he would allow it. There is wide assortment of colored sands available in craft stores. You may also find colored “sands” (actually fine salt with coloring) in Divisoria at P50-P60/kilo. The only downside to this alternative is when the moisture gets into the vase especially when you intend to make the symbolic sand mixture as a keepsake after the wedding. If you’re interested in doing this for your wedding, learn how to go about it.

With barely a month to go, we are still eyeing for it’s launch and FREE distribution at the Wedding Expo in NBC Tent this Sept. 3 & 4. Will we make it? We’re holding our breath. 😉
